When you use Manga Translator, we may collect the following information:
identity: This permission allows us to access your basic account information, such as your unique user ID and username.
identity.email: This permission allows us to access your email address associated with your account.
storage: This permission is used to store user-specific data, including login information, configuration settings, and preferences to enhance your experience with the plugin.
contextMenus: This permission enables the plugin to add options to the right-click menu, allowing users to quickly access the screenshot translation feature.
Anonymous Usage Data Collection: When you click the translation button on a supported manga page, TranslateManga anonymously collects the page URL and the manga title. This data is processed on-device using one-way hashing with a salt that rotates periodically. The raw URL and title never leave your browser. These anonymized data are uploaded to improve and optimize our product features and user experience. Data collection is triggered only when you actively use the translation feature, not every time you open a manga website.

We take the protection of your personal information seriously. All data collected is securely stored and protected from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Data Storage: User data is stored locally on your device or in secure cloud storage, depending on the functionality of the plugin.
Data Security Measures: We use encryption and other industry-standard security measures to safeguard your data.
Anonymized Data Handling: Only the anonymized fingerprint is transmitted over HTTPS and stored encrypted at rest. Because the hash is non-reversible and not linked to any personal identifier, we cannot trace it back to you or reconstruct your browsing history.
Data Retention: Fingerprints are automatically purged 30 days after you clear local data, disable sync, or delete your TranslateManga account.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your data with trusted service providers strictly to deliver and improve our services. These providers are required to handle your data in compliance with this Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or as required by applicable laws. You can request the deletion of your data at any time (see Section 6).
